So sad our vacation is over…
Back to work we go. It has been a bit chilly in Santa Barbara these last few days home. Brrrr!
We had such a great time with the folks. We could not ask for better parents, on both sides. We laid out, read books, and ate some amazing meals. Now, back to reality.
On a side note…please keep the mister and I in your prayers, as we are about to endeavor on a few new challenges. We know God will have our backs, but a little extra prayer never hurts.
We decided to run off to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a week. The husband and I have a jam-packed schedule in the coming months. Our life is so full right now, I didn’t even know it could get this good. So, before all the craziness happens we needed a little r&r. By the way, someone told me to try the coca cola down here, even though I don’t drink soda, and I did, and it was exceptionally good. Must be the syrup. I don’t know, just try it if you get here.
The whole thing was a bit overwhelming, but the husband (future husband), at the time, made it all work. Days prior I had been wondering where he was going. See, we’re pretty big homebodies, so when one becomes to anxious and mobile you have to wonder what’s up. hehe. Anyway, long story short, he told me we were going to a friend’s house, and I said ok. Let me throw in there that I was kind of pissy, because of the days prior behavior. (Gosh, am I a b****) so we pull up to our friends home and this is what I see…
He’s a tricky one.
Love you, husband!
ps: I said yes immediately. I forgot all about the ring, and he says to me “don’t you want this too”.
One of the main reasons I started this blog was for my husband and I to stay connected with friends and family back home, and to share a few recipes and new-found things. Then, I also remembered that I wanted to start a journal of our life together, and always be able to have it to show our children. I’m not one for scrap booking, or even writing in a journal, but I do like this little space of ours, that we call goodnewssantabarbara.
I’ve decided to share some of our wedding photos. It was the most gorgeous, beautiful day of my life. We had the most amazing friends and family that were able to join us. Much thanks to our photographer Willa Kveta, she was absolutely amazing. I loved looking through these photos, it made me wish we could do it all over again…
PS make sure you don’t miss the picture of the beautiful swarovski crystal shoes that my girlfriend gifted me on our wedding day. Thanks Deniz, I love you!

My first love is my husband, then my family, then…Polaroids!
Lately the only type of picture I want to take is a Polaroid. They are fun and vintage. I decided to go out and buy the Instax Fuji Polaroid camera. I love it! Polaroids remind me of the good ole days, when everything seemed so fresh and pure…maybe I’m just delusional. ha!
I miss these two so much! These two little’s are my niece and nephew, who live in another state, which makes it hard for us to see each other. I have watched them grow (through Skype), since their first days from when they were born. The personalities they both have are great! She is an amazing dancer and pianist, and he is, well, he likes trucks, trucks and more trucks (plows and trash trucks to be exact).
I can only hope someday that God blesses us with two beautiful children like these two. I love them more than they will ever know. xo
