Back To The Grind

So sad our vacation is over…

Back to work we go.  It has been a bit chilly in Santa Barbara these last few days home.  Brrrr!

We had such a great time with the folks.  We could not ask for better parents, on both sides.  We laid out, read books, and ate some amazing meals.  Now, back to reality.

On a side note…please keep the mister and I in your prayers, as we are about to endeavor on a few new challenges.  We know God will have our backs, but a little extra prayer never hurts.

Up Up And Away!

We are still in Mexico, and enjoying every moment of it.  The husband decided to go parasailing the other day, and I about freaked out.  I asked him if all of our life insurance was up to date.  (half kidding, half not).  It was pretty spectacular to watch him fly.  I stayed on the ground and watched.

I also snapped a few pictures of the locals, who never cease to amaze me.  Always so happy and joyful.  (maybe it’s the cerveza).  And the water, who could ever say that they don’t like the ocean, the sound, the feel, the beauty, I love it all! I also love tacos.

ps, husband took a camera up in the sky with him, so the aerial views are amazing.  And we snuck a quick photo of mom and dad.

When Life Is About To Get Busy, Run Off To Mexico.

We decided to run off to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a week.  The husband and I have a jam-packed schedule in the coming months.  Our life is so full right now, I didn’t even know it could get this good.  So, before all the craziness happens we needed a little r&r.  By the way, someone told me to try the coca cola down here, even though I don’t drink soda, and I did, and it was exceptionally good.  Must be the syrup.  I don’t know,  just try it if you get here.

Weekend Fun!

This weekend we celebrated the 8th birthday of a dear friend.  She celebrated eight years of being happy, joyous and free.  Such a neat experience to watch someone grow into something so spiritual.  Who ever knew that believing in a Higher Power, would lead to such a satisfying life. God is good!  The day was perfect.  The weather was gorgeous, and the company was fun!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

How to Accessorize

Do you ever struggle with finding the right accessories?  Now you don’t need to.  ShopBop is one of my favorite online shopping go-to places. Check out; How to Accessorize Now | 4 Trends to Try .  Sometimes it’s hard to stay up to date with the latest fashions, or even the question of “what accessories should I put with this outfit?”.  Use this small guide for a bit of direction.  Also, Just In | J Brand’s Newest Denim Styles , these are by far my favorite jeans.  Comfy, flattering, and all around a well made jean. Just a little Thursday fashion fun. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Weekend Shenanigans

Every weekend we try to do something fun.  It’s hard because the husband works and I want to go straight into sloth mode because I have been working all week.  But, we manage.  This past weekend we took a lovely drive to our favorite organic farm.  Then we decided to check out Nojoqui Falls, which is up the same road as the farm.  Nojoqui Falls is a natural spring that drops nearly 100 feet over a sandstone wall.  The hike up there is easy and gorgeous.  Even if you’re not a hiker you can do it.  On the way home we pulled off the 101 and captured some amazing photos of the beautiful sunset.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

A Super Cool Record Store

The other day we had a small mishap with our record player.  The mister broke the needle.  We called our local record store in town, and they assured us they could help.  My husband took the record player down to be fixed.  While there, he picked up a few goodies for me.  Isn’t he sweet.

Just to let locals know, Warbler Records and Goods, is a great place to buy new and used vinyl, cds, and numerous other music items.  All music is handpicked by the owner, Kurt, who is very helpful and knowledgeable about his product.  They are conveniently located at 131 E. De La Guerra street.  Stop by and check them out, you won’t be disappointed.  Below are some pictures of the shop.
